the analyst that worked for me, his primary system was keeping a stack of like 100 sheets of paper on it.

like stuff that he'd printed on one side, and was now trash, he would keep all of those to use the blank sides. then whenever i asked him to do anything, he'd grab one, write it big on it, and put it on his desk. and then work until his desk was clean again.
