Oh, my film fest "quick" recap

Full Recap, now that the film fest is over:

Jan 30:
The Fix - B
Rez Bomb - A-

Jan 31:
Toronto Stories - B+
This Is Not A Robbery - A (I spotted Todd D. and David A. at this showing, but didn't get a chance to say hi)

Feb 1:
Eating Buccaneers - A
Jump! - A
Stone of Destiny - A+ (This one was massively good, and the director - Charles Martin Smith - was there to discuss the movie after the showing.)

Feb 2:
The Biggest Chinese Restaurant In The World - B+

Feb 4:
Mulligans - B-. (This one was filmed in and around Victoria, and it was neat to see local scenery, including the Red Barn Market, on the big screen)

Feb 5:
One Thousand Journals - A. Really cool documentary about http://www.1000journals.com/

Feb 6:
Hunger - A+. Incredibly involved film about the last six weeks of IRA protester bobby sands' life. Very haunting and difficult to watch, but very well done.
Flame & Citron - A+. Documentary about legendary Danish resistance fighters in WW2.

Feb 7:
Bart Got A Room - A-. William H. Macy was great in this high school prom comedy. The writer and director was there to discuss the movie after the showing; apparently it's loosely based on his actual prom. After watching the movie, I felt very bad for him. Heh.
Melting Lands: A. Documentary about life in Nunavik, in northern Quebec.
Reindeer Girls: A. Documentary about Norweigan Sami reindeer herders. Like cowboys, but in -15C temperatures.
Apology of an Economic Hitman - B+.

Feb 8:
London to Brighton - A-. Unsettling. Creepy. Probably the most suspenseful movie I've seen in 2 years.
JCVD. A+. Watch this movie. He can act, he really can (who knew?).
