hmm, do i need a bluray burner, or just a dvd burner that reads bluray. decisions, decisions. -- nm

DVD optical drives don't read Blu-rays. You would need a Blu-ray drive. Whether or not you want to burn Blu-rays is up to you. -- nm

well, there are dvd burner drives that read blurays (i am looking at one now on newegg). -- nm

those would have a read/write dvd head and a read-only BR head since they are different technologies. -- nm
