it actually pencils out, buy a new econo car with a good rep for reliability and sell it before the warrenty runs out.
or buy that car IF you can repair it yourself and keep it up,
or buy the cheapest junkers you can and abandone them when they die, don't invest a dime in up keep, great for urban living, especially if you can get away with collecting a thousand tickets a month, used to be a decent way of driving in SAn fran until they started booting cars with a mere 5 tickets.
