He is popular where he is but the rest of the south isn't like Florida (or Texas).

I know that this is difficult for people away from here to understand but a lot of the south wants to stay very white. Florida and Texas are different (as are metropolitan areas like Atlanta and New Orleans) because they have much more immigration.
