even if it's not Glass per say the concept itself is. You're right that the phone in smartphone is a minor bit of functionality. It's coincidence that all the functionality in a smart phone exists on that device...phones are just one bit of functionality. If I can wear glasses (have them implanted?) and do all the other stuff and make calls...I will.
