Then it will probably be a while before a woman headlines another UFC PPV.

But they didn't have many other options.
The previous fight was on Fuel. If that card, or even that main event, was deserving of PPV it would have been on a channel that most people can watch in HD. The fight of the night from that event was on facebook and youtube. Nobody has a legit case that that card or main event was a better choice for PPV. The next card has no title fight, it is also free on Fuel. It's too soon for GSP to fight again.
Maybe February is also traditionally a bad month so it's worth taking the risk now.
