the tendency to be defensive, is probably partly mine (and others) fault.
as we, in big team games, have stressed the idea of someone patrolling our base area. and so its easy, if you are willing to be that person, to do that.
heck, i fall into that trend sometimes, because while it doesnt need to be done, its usefull at times.
