illegally carrying? For instance, if this kid was walking down the street with an unregistered illegal firearm...can he be stopped and asked for proof that the gun is legal?

Not being a douche, just curious about this issue.

because if I see some dude walking down the street packing and he's not a cop...in this day and age, I'm concerned. If it's legal, super duper. But I can't look at the dude and know whether or not it's legal, can I?
