So, the question is simply, is Alex Smith good or did he do it on the back of Harbaugh?

there's 7 years of under-performance and 1.75 years of very good play.
Those 1.75 years correspond to a new coach that will no longer be around.
There's a lot of reasons to be concerned that he'll revert to underwhelming.
