Did anyone else watch Golden Boy? What were your thoughts? (Spoilers?)

Again, McBride is the reason I gave the show a shot, and will likely be the only reason why I continue to. The "Golden Boy" is an obnoxious turd, and in his conflict with the other detective I'll be rooting for injuries; though, with the way the show starts, a flash forward to him being the Police Commissioner, the youngest ever to boot, my wish for him to fall flat on his face seems unlikely.
