One of my favorite moments ever was looking over at my older daughter (she was well into her teens at this point), with a pack of m&m's and watching

her sort them by color into rows (like a bar graph). She's pretty intently doing this and then she looks up and sees me watching her and gives me a sort of sheepish "what. This is how I eat them!"
It just cracked me up.
