Tell that to the 114,000 people whose stuff got revealed by this guy. He had choices and he chose to be a dick.

He found the exploit. He should have notified AT&T.

He could've just pointed a tech media site to the exploit.

Instead he took info for 114,000 users (is that 114,000 instances of just adding 1 to a URL?) and made it public.

The door may have been unlocked, but instead of calling the homeowner he stole the TV. Yeah, *anyone* walking by the home could have checked the door and stolen the TV, but he actually did. That's a crime and that deserves time.
