I want quality reporting and that costs money. How are they going to pay their reporters if the papers aren't selling and online ads aren't enough?

Quality reporting does cost money. No disagreement there, but paywalls for dailies do not work except for the largest and most-trusted sources

my paper wants extra for full online access...fyi, i stopped consumer reports because of this, i couldn't even use their search function so i wouldn't
