their years of "oversight" of the financial system and euro area banks that completely failed to address the ballooning Cypriot banks.

And now EU finance ministers and the ECBs solution is to steal people's savings. It's irrelevant that 30/40% of those savings are of high worth non EU citizens. Under their genius plan, which they're now back pedalling from furiously, is to steal people's savings, no matter if they're a struggling family, an ageing pensioner, a business person or a member of the Russian mafia.

It's an incredibly, unbelievably stupid policy.
