They threw in with the wrong crowd 20-25 years ago, allowed themselves to move too far to the right, and alienated the moderates who once tilted their way from time to time. The modern GOP is going to need to do a lot more than have full-time mouthpieces in Latino and African-American communities to start swaying hearts and minds. They're going to need to realize their entire message is hurtful, hateful and out of step with the majority of their countrymen.
