I totally understand. I have a beloved Levenger item that I purposely bought, years ago now, in tan; so it would get that cool distressedness.

I still can't bring myself to buy leather goods much, unless I really have to (special shoe needs, car seats that came with the, er, car, etc.); so I ended up with a canvas bag that looks very close to the bag you linked.

whenever I see those distressed bags, I yearn a little bit. ;) -
