It's volunteer work. He is Chairman of the "Council of Presidents" which is made up of the presidents of all of the largest Jewish organizations in

the country (JUF, JCC's, etc). Communicating to American Jews what Israel is doing so they maintain support is a big deal in Israel and US government also. It's a very interesting position.
