having a teenager talk about how her crooked teeth impacted her self-confidence, when others stories included a mom with terminal cancer, a guy who had 2 band mates die, and another who had two baby twins die? yah, not every story needs to be told.

also, I fully accept people who've had record deals that went nowhere, backup singers that go solo, lead singers of smallish groups that go solo, and even a very memorable performer fom another talent show; but having someone who toured and did duets with Michael Jackson and sang at hs memorial service? even if I appreciate her not wanting to capitalize on that at the time, do not try to fool us that she needs the show to escalate her career.
