Yes - building the relationships is key.

In a way, Cochran's like that other Survivor nerd, Stephen from Tocantins.

He didn't win the game because he didn't build the relationships and advertise himself to the others as a strategic player. Instead, he stayed in the background, let wonder-boy JT take the credit, and was clean-swept out of the final Tribal votes.

I think Cochran's doing a decent job so far, but at the same time he hasn't really been tested yet. Last week was his first time at Tribal since the first episode, and it was a no-brainer vote for a fan. What's he going to do when it's his alliance, or his ass, on the line?
