as a general principle, I don't like the idea that these people are (probably often) forced to vote on things in such a timeframe that they can't possibly fully grasp all the implications of their votes on their constituents. It's a "read it" thing (which yes, can totally mean "other people read it, I read their summaries"), but it's also a "have time to deliberate and digest it in final form before I spend $800B, because often our snap takes on things end up being flawed with some additional mulling time".
