Other than doing the fancy powerpoints that she does for school, I think she could totally get away with it. Then again, Dell has a $299 laptop (vs. $249 for Chrome) which makes it one of those decisions where the Chromebook might be fun but $50 more gets you a "real" laptop? My guess is that Chrome outperforms the Dell for what it does though
