Having background checks also means having a giant database that includes lists of people who shouldn't have guns, and people who have guns.

I know - but how good is the information in it? Does every state report to it properly? Does every gun vendor have to run background checks through it

I personally hate the cycle this stuff goes in. We will have another shooting and it will get ramped up to 11. AGAIN.
