What bugs me about it is that you presume that people will consider that Monte will not willingly open the door with the car. In other words, he KNOWS

what is behind each door and deliberatly chooses the goat. In that context, the odds of switching your door do inprove to 2 out of 3. But if Monte is kept in the dark, opens a door and gets a goat, then your odds actually decrease to 1 in 2 that switching will get you the car.
I read about this for 2 hours last night and it made me head hurt. I blame Reagen (honestly, I do).
You don't even want to get into the odds based on quantum theory.
