there's no new style of gameplay (ala the motion of the Wii that spawned Kinect and Move)...this is purely a limiting factor that could very easily be overcome by the inclusion of what already exists, internet connections that you can choose to turn on or off.
If you want to be 24/7 connected (like most of us are), great. If not, great. Why the hell would you prevent that latter group from buying your product?
It's idiocy that should undercut the effectiveness of any decision you make going forward.
