Sources told RadarOnline that Bynes' parents thought Kim's remarks were made in "poor taste and are very upset about it," as "it doesn�t take a rocket scientist to look at Amanda and surmise that she is having some sort of crisis."

The source told the website that the actress's parents are powerless to do anything because she is 27 years old, and legally there is very little they can do do help their daughter, since she refuses to get help.

Bynes herself just admitted on Twitter that she's no longer in contact with her parents, which no doubt makes them all the more concerned for her well-being:
