this reminds me of something a friend was telling me about this past weekend

(btw, sorry, diabetes blows.)

this guy has had diabetes since age 11, and about a year ago he started eating a raw, vegan diet. he has reduced his required insulin intake by 90% and hopes to completely be off of it in another year or so. (i just realized i hope he is consulting w/a doctor while he does this, but i digress.)

completely unrealistic, though. his typical day of meals: breakfast, 10-12 bananas. lunch, a dozen apples. dinner, a huge head of romaine lettuce.

mmmmm. ;)
