Beresford is an old euro style hotel that is a couple blocks up and out of the 'loin, the one on Sutter is perfect....or

the Holiday inn, travelodge in fisherman's wharf for typical lodging at reasonable price (Chinatown is good too but more expensive?) the one on polk/van ness is a little weird at night.
Hotel Diva is one of these pricey boutique places.
the Hyatt Regency is as expensive as a silicon valley hooker but dayam an experience with the most impressive lobby ever.
The Beresford is where we used to put up visitors and where we go to stay when we return ourselves.
