The main thing approve of is that he is NOT a republican, but I think he was trying to hard to be a president and not lead in the trenches....

unfortunately the republicans have shown time and again they don't give a fuck abouit what happens to the country, they slash and burn it to get what htey want.
healthcare is a prime example, obama went backwards to address the conservative concerns and as a result we have a very republican healthcare bill with very few of the things democrates wanted IE: single payer
yet they voted against it as a solid block. this kind of compromise to our own detriment and then still get kicked in the balls happened time and again.
obama wanted to be the great statesman, the leader, but they aren't having any of it, I guess he gets it now
