Long Story Short from the Former Shades
I know I don't post much here anymore or communicate with that many people here and i know some of you may still outright hate me for stupid stuff I've said and done in the interest of trying to be funny.... BUT... I still consider you all a part of my life and I just want to set things straight so that there's no misinformation out there (as there has been in the past).
Last Sunday I went to Vegas for work but I wasn't feeling well. Went to a clinic to see what was up and was sent to an ER where they took some blood and within two hours I was told that I had acute leukemia, my blood counts was totally fucked up and I would have to remain in hospital until they could get me stabilized and start treatment.
I was there for five days figuring things out and I've now been sent to the Columbus Ohio James Cancer Hospital for treatment and I'll be sequestered here for at least a month or longer. if you still consider us to be friends and have any burning questions, please feel free to contact me via Email/Facebook. As always, I'm an open book.
I'll be fine. As you all know about me, I'm a fighter and I don't let stupid shit get me down let alone something stupid like blood cancer. I'm not going out like that. Worse things have tried to take me out or put me down (Hi DMac!) and I got right back up.
Anyway, I'm not sure that means I'll be posting more here... probably not but for those who were worried or concerned, please don't be. For those who posted nice things to or about me, thanks! I appreciate it!
This is going to be a life altering experience for me... but you know what? We all need a life altering experience now and again. Life gets boring when you're put into a rut.
