So, i am embarking on a coffee table project...

Linked below are the two large butcher's blockish wood blocks that will be the top (it will actually be two tables, side by side). These were samples for a camp my company is building and i asked for them when we were done with them - so now i just need to get them home (that isn't happening on the subway.)

Then, i am putting hairpin legs on them (like these: http://pinterest.com/pin/560135272373786150/)

they need some sanding, and sealing, but i think it will look great.

(our current coffee table is a storage one and the leather (fake) on top is somehow the biggest dust magnet of a fabric i have EVER encountered. i hate it.)
