was involved in a scam with them.

They would load up a big box (for a rocking chair or such) with a bunch of electronics. An accomplice would order that product at a specific time and they would send out the loaded box for him to pay for.

Somehow though, he could also provide receipts for the stolen stuff. Not sure how he did that.
