All I hear about are these micro apartments. I have a feeling it's a massive windfall for the developers and owners of the properties.

This whole push for these places seems shady to me but that could be because every real estate deal in NYC is shady.
I rarely hear about them building quality apartments for regular folks that want to have a living room that isn't also their dining room and their bedroom.
They do 80/20 with some of the new buildings with the 20 being supposedly affordable. I just don't see enough of those being built. There's one going up in my neighborhood while there are 10 that are market rate buildings. Market rate here is as high as Park Slope and rising.
