With all due respect, wait until your kids are teenagers. I adore my kids and definitely put myself in the category of being happier for having them,

but there are times when it is really difficult (mine made more difficult by multiples because of their mother, but that's another story). But I also see people I know to be good parents face a lot of heartache from their kids as well. Higher levels of stress, etc. It is not an endless stream of nothing but positives (and again, I say this as someone who wouldn't trade it for anything).
