The irony is that we have a much greater ability to identify an unstable person from causing harm with a gun than a bomb...

provided the states were required to send their mental health records...but they're not (SLIPPERY SLOPE!) so we get Newton. Meanwhile, people are getting constitutionally creative over people who toss bombs around.
We're rarely going to be able to spot these new types of terrorists but we can prevent the mentally ill from obtaining semi-automatic weapons.
