A single having a chance to score someone makes some sense.

What's getting me is that it's called, weighted on base percentage but it's measuring more than just a players ability to get on base. The name of it is throwing me off and I guess it should be named since according to wiki it's, "...designed to measure a player's overall offensive contributions per plate appearance."

So, it's not about a player ability to get on base. It's about more than that and the name is just wrong.
