Can't take it personally. It's emotional and nerve-wracking for both parties.

The seller feels that she has already lowered her price either to her lowest price or perhaps past what she considers her lowest acceptable price. Logically, she should be willing to negotiate from the price, but sometimes it takes time to realize that because logic can easily get trumped by emotion.
I had a hard time with this when selling. The price I sold for was a good, logical fair price supported by the market comps. Yet, it felt just a bit lower than I felt I *wanted* to go. Not horribly lower (a couple or a few thousand) but that was the tipping point where it was hard for me to feel good about at first.
That was emotion. Removed from the situation now, I easily accept it was a fair price. At the time, I could *see* and *say* it was a fair price, but had trouble *feeling* it.
Sounds likes this seller is on the other side of the line in the pendulum swing and emotion is driving decisions. This very well may hurt her.
