Sure, the competition isn't that great...but look at the season's won by Rob and Kim. They're considered masterful seasons, but one could argue the competition on those seasons was incredibly weak as well.

Look at Rob's. He had Rob's zombies and Phillip as his core alliance.

Kim had all the girls and none of them was a threat to her, ever.

So, I don't think the competition this time is really that much worse than it has been in the last few seasons. Which, to me, indicates a larger issue for Survivor...that they can't seem to cast good players anymore.
