Like kelly said, there's quite a difference. I can't accidentally kill the person next to me because I'm drinking a coke if they're diabetic.

but again, like I said, if you're that highly allergic to peanuts, you best be telling everyone in a 20 foot radius when you sit down on a crowded plane.
