They are charging much more and there is less oversight. There maybe rules in some areas, but not in all areas. And definitely not on a national level. So yes, in that case, it would be better for some areas here to have nothing instead of what I think can be called a worst case scenario. Some have called the Payday loan places here "legalized loan sharking" with the added comment that loan sharks offer better rates.
