There are so many levels to this film...

there's the amazing feat he did... not just daring to walk between the towers within years of them being built--something that was never done before or since--there's the entire heist aspect of the movie, the whole story of getting into the towers, getting up there, setting it up...
and then there's the entire poignance of seeing all this footage of the Two Towers after first being built and them no longer being there and never being there again. As I said, you'd have to be a New Yorker to really appreciate the last part of it. I've seen the movie three times and it has the same effect every time.
