April 7 was my first day at the gym. Since then (so, 6 weeks or so), I've lost 6.8 lbs. Not a huge amount, but I can deal with 1 lb/wk.

When you lose weight due to exercise it's going to come off slower, because the muscle you gain weights twice as much as the fat lost.

Just remember 1 lb a week is 52 lbs in a year :) That was my average over the two years it took me to reach goal. -- nm
