In response to "April 7 was my first day at the gym. Since then (so, 6 weeks or so), I've lost 6.8 lbs. Not a huge amount, but I can deal with 1 lb/wk." by kelly

When you lose weight due to exercise it's going to come off slower, because the muscle you gain weights twice as much as the fat lost.

It also means you will keep the weight off easier. You might not see it on the scale but you should notice it in looser fitting clothes.

Losing 6.8 lbs during diet and exercise should be like losing 15 lbs by dieting and no exercise. The way you are doing it is the healthy way. Keep it up, as your metabolism speeds up to better process calories you need for energy, you will start burning even during periods of rest.

Woohoo go girl!!
