IMO, it's the most out there and ballsy thing Pixar has ever done. And the ending of that movie wouldn't have resonated for me a third as much as it did were it not for the larger themes wrapped up in the B-story. (Which, in all honesty, the grand scheme of things? Wall-E and EVE is the B-story.)
