It's no doubt a hot mess. It's practically impossible to follow the plot threads. Ultimately, though, it's about the jokes, and the humor hits its mark pretty much 100% of the time. It seems insulting to compare it to a high brow 3 Stooges bit where all you're doing is waiting for the next in-joke or sight-gag, but it works. I just wish they hadn't tried to be so high concept.
