I believe I saw it before the first one, which may have helped. We agree on Die Hard.

Well, that Die Hard 2 certainly wasn't better than the first. I still liked it okay.
But I was just thinking about LW2 this weekend, and how it really blew my mind at the time. Great beginning (one of the first movies where the very first scene was a smash cut directly into the middle of an action sequence), bookended with my first hearing of 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door' used perfectly (if not so subtlely) at the end... just great fun.
