a fan of Edward Norton.
I just LOVED the cast of Manhunter - thought it was very well acted/paced/filmed/etc etc etc
When the detective looks at the police guy as he says "Thanks Jimmy" to his lab tech that found the fingerprint on the eye of the victim ... it's one of my FAVORITE "FUCK YOU" looks on film. He's just so condescending when he says "Thanks Jimmy" and gives that icy glare to the other guy who insisted there would be NOTHING to be found.
I also thought Chris Elliott was GREAT ... small part ... but GREAT - and Joan Allen was perfection as the blind co-worker.
To this DAY I can't see a pic of the serial killer without having the chills/hair on my arms and neck stand on end ... he embodies that role for me.
also - not taking anything away from Anthony Hopkins portrayal of Lecter - but this one was solid too IMHO.
