It basically dismissed and negated everything that was intriguing about the show up to the finale.

The Dharma Initiative. The hatch. The Others. Maps. Symbols. Blah blah blah so much stuff I forgot but paid obsessive attention to in the first few seasons... none of it amounted to anything or mattered at all.
