if that theory is even remotely true, then the robots are trying to rebuild the world in the image of the humans, so why wouldnt they pick a starting point of mass transportation and start there?

to me its a fun theory, cause it sort of explains how things in human history made it into that universe (like how in the trailer for planes they make a reference about old yeller).
