I think Smith's acting is fine. He's been given shit scripts this season, though.

And if Gaiman isn't going to write within the time and budget constraints of the show, he shouldn't write for it. Both episodes of his felt like abridged versions of the stories he wanted to tell thanks to his scripts being too long and too expensive.
